We wish to thank the 400+ guests who attended this year's Italian-Australian Community Charity Lunch held at Le Montage, Lilyfield, on Sunday, 1 March. The Charity Lunch celebrates and acknowledges volunteers and their work in the community and raises funds to support the homeless and people in need. At this year's Charity Lunch, grants were presented to: The Italian Australian Charitable Fund, who feed the homeless every Tuesday at Martin Place; St Vincent's Curran Foundation for prostate cancer research; Kids Giving Back, who encourage volunteering by adolescents and provide food packs for the Martin Place Food Van; the Adolescent & Young Adult Hospice, towards the care of terminally ill young people who need palliative care; and the Catholic Institute of Sydney, for the establishment of the Father Atanasio Gonelli OFM Cap Theological Scholarship.
A big thank you also to the 300 people who were unable to attend but donated the cost of their ticket. We would also like to thank our Charity's sponsors and volunteers for their support. A special thanks to Tommy Herschell of Find Ya Feet Foundation, for his inspirational presentation on the effects of bullying in our society.

The Charity Lunch celebrates and acknowledges volunteers and their work in the community and raises funds to support the homeless and people in need. At this year's Charity Lunch, grants were presented to St Vincent's Curran Foundation, Chris O'Brien Lifehouse, Muscular Dystrophy Association of NSW, Foundation For A Bloody Great Cause (Concord Cancer Centre), and Gift of Bread.
More than $70,000 was raised at this event. A big thank you also to the 300 people who were unable to attend but donated the cost of their ticket. We are immensely proud to have been able to provide funds, through donations received from our 2024 Winter Appeal, to help Sydney's homeless and those in need. As can be seen from the photos, the Martin Place food van, which operates every Tuesday night, is providing much-needed warm meals, fresh fruit and drinks to many homeless and disadvantaged people in our community.

We are excited and pleased to receive the news that a Community Recognition Statement was made to the NSW Parliament on 14 March 2024 by the Hon. Matt Cross MP, marking the occasion of our Charity's 2024 Italian-Australian Community Charity Lunch. The Community Recognition Statement has been incorporated in the official parliamentary record, Hansard.
We wish to thank the 550 guests who attended the Italian-Australian Community Charity Lunch at Le Montage, Lilyfield, on Sunday, 3 March 2024, in celebration and acknowledgement of volunteers and their work in the community. More than $70,000 was raised at this event. This year, grants were presented to St Vincent's Curran Foundation, Chris O'Brien Lifehouse, Muscular Dystrophy Association of NSW, Foundation For A Bloody Great Cause (Concord Cancer Centre), and Cerebral Palsy Alliance. A big thank you also to the 250 people who were unable to attend but donated the cost of their ticket. We would also like to thank our Charity's sponsors and volunteers for their support. To date, our Charity has funded over $685,000 of financial assistance to organisations and individuals, making a difference to the lives of those in need in our community.
